Meet our Staff
Dr. Kris Ahlgrim, DVM (Owner/Veterinarian)
Started GVH: opened the doors in April 2003
Grew up in: Littleton, CO (Colorado native)
Education: DVM (Colorado State University), 1992; formal internship in Springfield, MA
Companions: 3 dogs, 4 birds, 1 tortoise and 11 turtles
Hobbies/interests: soccer, Irish dancing, cooking
Membership Associations: AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), CVMA (Colorado Veterinary Medical Association), DAVMS (Denver Area Veterinary Medical Society), AAV (Association of Avian Veterinarians), ARAV (Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians), and AEMV (Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians).
Best thing about GVH: Opportunity to make a difference in the lives of so many animals and their wonderful owners. This would not be possible without the dedicated staff that surrounds me.

Education: DVM (Cornell), 1992
Companions: Leo (cat)
Hobbies/interests: avian & exotic medicine, sailing, hiking and wildlife conservation.
Membership Associations: AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), CVMA (Colorado Veterinary Medical Association), DAVMS (Denver Area Veterinary Medical Society), AAV (Association of Avian Veterinarians) and Colorado Wildlife Rehab Association.
Best thing about GVH: Great dedicated staff and practice.

 Dr. Alison Hazel Relief veterinarians that we trust to take care of our GoldenView patients when Dr. Ahlgrim is out of the office are hard to find. We share Dr. Hazel with other veterinary hospitals around the Denver Metro area that also need her,and appreciate the compassionate way she takes care of GVH patients when she is here. |

Hobbies/interests: Reading, movies, watching wheelchair Rugby, being outdoors! Spending time with my dogs.
Best thing about GVH: The staff and hospital animals! They make everything enjoyable! Also interacting with clients and their loved ones!

Education: CVT 1987, AAS-Nursing 1998, Business owner 1999-2007.
Companions: 3 cats and 8 [perfect] parrots - 2 Amazons, 3 African Greys, a male Eclectus and 2 Cockatiels
Hobbies/interests: My animals have always been a hobby. Educating others about the care & enrichment of companion birds. Women's ministry and marriage ministry. My husband and I are enjoying discovering CO sites in our off time.
Best thing about GVH: Dr. Kris and the staff work together so well to provide exceptional service to every client and patient.

Best thing about GVH: Working with animals and helping people make this the ideal job. The staff is great and I am learning more about caring for animals of all kinds.
